Summer only begins in 2 weeks but yesterday's trip to Central London with my best friend in our summer dresses and 34 degrees heat, felt like it had already started. Even though my best friend is the art student, I myself enjoy modern art and so a trip to Tate Modern didn't seem like a bad idea. That was the main purpose of our day out, but in the end, we only spent some time in the gallery, before making our way out to take in some more of the wonderful city and Thames river bank, in this beautiful weather that rarely pays London a visit.
Wakacje zaczynają się dopiero za 2 tygodnie, ale wczorajszą podróż do centrum Londynu z moją najlepszą przyjaciółką w naszych letnich sukienkach i 34 stopni ciepła, czułam sie jakby wakacje już się zaczeły. Mimo że to moja przyjaciołka jest studentką sztuki, ja podziwiam dzieła sztuki współczesnej a więc ta wycieczka do Tate Modern nie wydawała sie złym pomysłem. Głównym celem tego wczorajszego dnia była właśnie wycieczka do tej galerii, ale wkońcu, w galerii spędziłyśmy mało czasu przed podjęciem decyzji że wyjdziemy na zewnątrz, aby podziwiać to wspaniałe miasto i Tamize, w taką piękną pogode która rzadko odwiedza Londyn.

We left the gallery, our stomach's rumbling, begging for some food - who would have thought that cold water was not enough to satisfy your hunger in this boiling heat? And so the hunt for restaurants started. As we walked along what felt like the whole length of the river Thames, we couldn't decide on any restaurants until we reached an alley way filled with chain restaurants and places to eat that we've never heard of before. Seeing as Nadina is half Italian, 'Cucina' seemed like the perfect choice. Being the two most undecided human beings in the world, we had to compromise and take two dishes that we would share - I'm not going to go into full detail, but it was delicious! On the way back to the tube, we stopped at a hut-sort-of-stand-thing for an ice-cream, fudge&toffee winning the choice. It's safe to say that I had an amazing day with my bestie and there ill be more to come!
Wyszłyśmy z galerii, nasze żołądki burczące, prosząc o jedzenie - kto by pomyślał że zimna woda nie wystarczy aby zaspokoić głód w taką pogode? I tak zaczeło się polowanie na restauracje. Jak tak szłysmy wzdłuż co się wydawało jak całą długosć Tamizy, nie mogłyśmy się zdecydować na żadną restauracje dopóki nie dotarłyśmy do alei wypełnioną sieciowymi restauracjami o których nigdy nie słyszałyśmy wcześniej. Biorąc pod uwagę to że Nadina jest pół Włoszką, 'Cucina' wydawała się idealna. Będąc dwoma najbardziej niezdecydowanymi ludzmi na świecie, poszłyśmy na kompromis i wziełyśmy dwa różne dania, którymi się podzieliłyśmy na poł - nie będę w chodzić w pełne szczegoły, ale to było pyszne! W drodze powrotnej do metra, zatrzymałyśmy się aby kupić sobie loda ze stoiska, toffi&krówka było udanym wyborem. Mogę spokojnie powiedzieć, że to był niesamowity dzień z moją najlepszą przyjaciółką, i mam nadzieje że będzie ich więcej!
